'07 - '08 Parent Committee Opportunities / Positions
The Parent Committee has some openings and new positions to fill... all help greatly appreciated.

Recruiting - Each year a form is handed out to all parents asking for their skills and abilities. We are looking for someone to match those skills with the ongoing needs/opportunities throughout the year. Our goal is to have 100% participation. Writing/telephone skills, patience and tenacity are a must.

Holiday Catalog 2007 Product Development - The product development committee of the holiday catalogue is looking for a few good people. GREAT products yield GREAT results and this is the time of year when the committee is busy looking for new products for the 2007 catalogue. If you have any ideas or wish to participate, contact Maya Hardcastle.

Bookkeeping - The financial success of our events is based on accurate tracking of sales and expenses. Knowledge and the right program make this job one that can be done at home and/or work (we won’t tell). Coordination with an on-line ordering system is recommended.

New Events Research - Of the hundreds of fundraising opportunities, some yield greater results than others. We are looking for someone to research new events and report to the committee with recommendations.

On-line Ordering - This is the year we would like to implement an on-line ordering system for the citrus sale, holiday catalogue and auction. It is a big undertaking and may require more than one person but well worth the effort.

Publicity / Posters - The success of our efforts are directly linked to exposure, especially to those outside the Sant Bani community. We have divided the responsibility into two categories: the production and distribution of posters AND media outlets using our list of press contacts.

Concessions - Whether it’s the high school play or the spring track invitational, each event hosted at the school represents an opportunity for a concession. Coffee, fresh squeezed juices, smoothies, wraps, baked goods….the list goes on. Opportunity abounds.

Parent Committee meetings are generally held on the third Wednesday of every month from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in either the Reading Room or the Library.
